today is the 4th day that i'm in ED (Emergency Department). working in ED is really very challenging.. not like working in the normal wards... in ED there is 4 different department.. there is triage, treatment room, observation room and resus room. resus room which is where all up triage cases and those that come from the ambulance will go to... all very emergency cases will go to the resus room.. like cardiac failure... ever since mon.. there is 1 person who died in the ED... and today is thurs.. there are 4 ppl who died.. but.. yesterday and today. 2 ppl died in front of me.. i'm actually quite sad.. i tried my best.. the nurses and doctors in the resus tried their best too.. the doctors gave 10 adrenaline and 10 deflib already.. but the patient still could not survive. :'( that is yesterday patient.. today's patient is totally astoyle.. cannot defib at all.. so wad we did was just doing CPR.. trying to get the heart working again.. but... haiz... 2 cases.. right in front of me.. life is really unpredictible.. they will just go off for no reason.. yesterday the case, the patient was just discharge a few weeks ago. while today's patient was discharged YESTERDAY... and she was admitted into ED today.. and pass away.. did last office for them.. and was praying...
so ppl.. please treasure your life and the people around you.. people around you may just go.. without you knowing.. please don't wait till you have lost it, then you regret! treasure it now! dont regret in the future!
